Vacuum excavation · Hydro excavation · NDD · Potholing · Vac & sucker truck hire

Your reliable pipeline construction and excavation specialist

Vacuum & hydro excavation · hydrovac

High-pressure water or air breaks up the soil and a powerful vacuum lifts it into the tank, so live services are exposed without a bucket touching them.

Non-destructive digging · NDD

The engineering name for the same thing. What the permit, the principal and the dial-before-you-dig plan will ask for around live gas, power, comms and water.

Potholing & service proving

Confirming the exact depth, alignment and condition of an asset before the excavator arrives. Single proves or full corridor runs.

Vac & sucker truck hire

Same fleet, whichever name your site uses. 1,000L to 8,000L, operated or dry, for excavation spoil and slurry on civil and pipeline sites.

About us

About Rogers Energy Services

Rogers Energy Services comes from a family of respected and well-known pipeliners. It was set up in 2016 to supply the best possible product to clients in steel and HDPE pipeline, and through constant reliable service has become a pipeline hydro and vacuum excavation specialist with a client list that excludes very few.

Today the same crews build steel and HDPE pipeline, run 1,000L to 8,000L vacuum excavation, and take on renewables and telecommunications civils. Bases serve Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Rockhampton, with a fleet that travels across Queensland and Australia-wide for larger projects. Brownfield is where we excel: working live and under permit where others will not.

How it works

How a vacuum excavation job runs

  1. 01

    Call

Tell us the site, the service you are working near, the access, and the window. We tell you on the call what we can put on the ground and when.

  2. 02

    Scope

We confirm truck size, water requirement, spoil volume and disposal, and what inductions and tickets the site needs.

  3. 03

    Mobilise

Truck and operator arrive with inductions done, IVMS on, and the paperwork the site expects.

  4. 04

    Excavate

Hydro or air, depending on the service and the ground. Services proved and exposed without damage.

  5. 05

    Clear and reinstate

Spoil removed and managed. Reinstatement, trenching or the next stage of civil handled in-house if you want it, so the site is not waiting on another trade.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about vacuum excavation, dry hire, compliance and pricing.

How fast can you get a truck to site?

Same-day in Brisbane metro for calls before 10am, next business day on the Gold Coast, and 24 to 48 hours for Rockhampton and Central Queensland. Call and we will confirm on the phone. If we cannot make your window we will tell you immediately rather than let you plan around a maybe.

Can we dry hire, or does an operator have to come?

Both. The 8,000L trucks run with our experienced operators for the majority of works. The 3,000L trucks and 1,000L trailers are available for hire, operated or dry. For dry hire we confirm on the call what licence and competency your operator needs for the unit, the minimum hire, and how the plant is insured.

Why Rogers Energy Services for vac truck hire?

Because Rogers Energy Services is a civil contractor that runs its own vac trucks, not a hire yard. Our operators have built steel and HDPE pipeline around live gas, power, comms and water, so when the pothole turns up something unexpected, the person on site has dealt with it before. The fleet is company-owned and site compliant, operators are inducted into Origin, QGC, Santos and Westside, and if the job needs excavation, pipeline or reinstatement either side of the vac, that stays with us instead of becoming a second procurement exercise.

Are your operators and units compliant for our site?

The fleet is modern, company-owned and site compliant: IVMS, isolators, full safety gear, trained operators and experienced supervisors. Operators are inducted into Origin, QGC, Santos and Westside, to name a few. Ten years with no lost-time injuries and zero quality or environmental breaches. Send us your site requirements and we will return our capability statement and compliance documents before the truck is booked.

Sucker truck, vac truck, hydrovac — is that the same thing?

For our purposes, yes. Sucker truck and vac truck are the same units; hydro excavation is vacuum excavation using high-pressure water rather than air. We hire the same 1,000L to 8,000L fleet for excavation spoil, slurry and pit clean-outs on civil, pipeline and telco sites. We do not do residential septic, grease trap or liquid waste work.

What does it cost?

It depends on five things: truck size, operated or dry, how far the unit travels, whether the work is after hours, and what happens to the water and spoil. Tell us the site, the ground and the window and we will give you a number on the call, with those items itemised so there are no surprises on the invoice.
